She Was Never Supposed to Be in First Class
The gate agent said it like it was nothing. “We’re overbooked in economy, so I’m moving you to 4A.” She handed me a new boarding pass and turned to the next person before I could even say thank you.
I settled into the wide leather seat, already feeling like I was getting away with something. A “first class” flight. For a Tuesday afternoon home, from a client meeting I hadn’t even wanted to attend.
He was already in 4B. Dark hair with reading glasses (he clearly didn’t love wearing), and a paperback with lined paper, resting on his knee. He glanced up when I sat down, gave me a polite nod, and went back to his book.
I ordered a gin and tonic the moment the flight attendant appeared. He ordered the same.
“Good taste,” he said without looking up.
“Or a rough day,” I replied.
That got him to close the book.
We talked. About nothing at first. The weather, the delay, the fact that neither of us had expected to be in these seats. He worked in architecture. I told him about my job in publishing, and watched him light up when I mentioned I’d been to Copenhagen. He had designed a building there, for a special work project. A small one he said, like that made it less impressive. It didn’t.
The drinks kept coming. The conversation got looser and warmer. At some point his knee shifted against mine and neither of us moved away. I became very aware of how close first-class seats actually are, when both armrests are up.
“You know what’s funny,” he said, leaning in just enough that I could smell his cologne (something warm, woody but unfamiliar). “I almost missed this flight.”
“Then I’m glad you didn’t,” I said, and the look he gave me made my stomach drop in the best possible way.
When the cabin lights dimmed, his hand found mine under the blanket. Just his fingertips at first, tracing slow lines along my wrist. Then higher, sliding under the hem of my skirt, palm warm against my bare thigh. My pulse was loud in my ears. I shifted slightly, opening my legs just enough. His fingers brushed the edge of my underwear, then slipped underneath, finding me already wet. He stroked once, then twice, slow, and deliberate. I had to bite the inside of my cheek to stay quiet.
I turned toward him. He was already looking at me with this expression. Calm and certain, like he’d made a decision.
“This is probably a terrible idea,” he said quietly.
“Probably,” I said. And then I stood up.
The first-class lavatory was bigger than I expected, which isn’t saying much, but it was enough. He followed thirty seconds later. When the door clicked shut behind him, he pressed me hard against the wall and kissed me, not slow this time. With passion and intent. His tongue in my mouth, one hand already yanking my skirt up around my waist, the other sliding my underwear down my thighs until they dropped to the floor. I kicked them aside.
I pulled his shirt free and got my hands on his skin, then lower, undoing his belt and zipper with zero finesse. He was already hard, thick and hot in my palm. I stroked him once and he groaned into my neck.
He lifted me onto the edge of the small counter like I weighed nothing. I wrapped my legs around him and pulled him closer. He rubbed the head of his cock against my clit, teasing. Coating himself in how wet I was, then pushed inside me in one long, deep thrust. I buried my face against his shoulder and moaned, the sound muffled by fabric and the constant drone of the engines.
He fucked me hard, no more polite pacing. His hands gripped my ass, pulling me onto him with every stroke, the counter digging into the backs of my thighs. I could feel every inch of him, the stretch, the heat, the way he filled me completely. When I whispered “harder,” he delivered, hips snapping forward, the wet sound of it filthy and unmistakable even over the engine noise.
The turbulence light flickered on above us and we both laughed, breathless, without stopping. He reached between us and rubbed my clit in tight, perfect circles while he kept thrusting. I came hard, clenching around him, biting his shoulder to keep quiet. He followed right after, burying himself deep and coming with a low, broken sound against my ear.
Afterward we stood there for a moment, still joined, foreheads touching, breathing hard, grinning like two people who couldn’t quite believe what they’d just done. He pulled out slowly. I watched him tuck himself away, still half hard. My underwear was somewhere on the floor; I didn’t bother putting them back on.
“You go first,” he said, voice rough. “I need a minute.”
Back in my seat, bare under my skirt, I pressed my face against the cool window and smiled at nothing. My thighs were still damp. Every small shift of the plane reminded me exactly how he’d felt inside me.
We landed. Walked to the terminal together, talking easily, like we’d known each other longer than a three hour flight. At the arrivals hall, he stopped.
“I’m not going to be the guy who doesn’t ask,” he said, and held out his phone.
I typed my number in and handed it back. He squeezed my hand once, just once, and walked to catch cab.
My phone buzzed before I’d even found my car in the parking garage.
*It’s the architect. Same flight next Tuesday?*
I stood in the concrete stairwell, grinning at my screen like a teenager. I didn’t reply right away. Wanted to sit with it for a minute. That rare and clean feeling of something just beginning. And the very real ache between my legs, that said it was already more than just beginning.
